The US National Science Foundation is one of the worlds premier institutions of scientific research analysis, commercialization, and engineering design. With an annual budget of roughly US$7.0 billion (fiscal year 2012), the NSF funds approximately 24% of all federally supported basic research conducted by the United States’ colleges and universities. Focusing on the fields of mathematics, deisgn and computer science, iGNITIATE worked with NSF and later the Laurence Livermore National Labs to assist in the movement of primary research into real products. In particular was work conducted with the movement of the key design modeling software T-Splines from research into full products used by millions of designers today.

Work conducted with The National Science Foundation later led to the creation and rollout of iGNITIATE’s internationally recognized iGNITE Convergence Program running globally in multi-national firms, government organizations, military teams and international universities.
